Just a few minutes ago, while we were having dinner (Bratwurst), Ilea was eating her Brat, she told us that her last bite hurt her front tooth. Since her friends are starting to lose thier teeth, we were thinking that she might be doing the same and sure enough her left-front-bottom tooth was
very loose and bleeding.
When I saw it, a flood of memories came to my mind of when my teeth came out. I totally remember the feel of moving the tooth back and forth, trying to pull it out. I also vividly recall the feeling of my gums after the tooth came out. For about 10 minutes, I could hardly look at Ilea's mouth because I was very squeemish. It was really funny.
Jenny was trying to tell Ilea that the tooth might not come out for a little while (even tomorrow). I responded, while Jenny was drinking some milk, that when a tooth gets horizontal (and Ilea's can be moved to that position) , it is coming out very soon. At this, Jenny came as close to
snarfing (see definition #5) her milk as I have ever seen her in our 12 years of marriage.
So right now, Ilea has a napkin and she is periodically wiggling the tooth. I expect it to come out before she goes to sleep, but we will see.
Here is a picture of Ilea. Note the worry in her eyes. Kyler was very interested as you can tell in the mirror behind Ilea.
