Ilea's tooth came out today while she was playing with Victoria, but... she didn't feel it come out so it is a real "lost" tooth in Victoria's house. We are going to write the Tooth Fairy a little note explaining the situation and see if she will understand. Here is Ilea with the missing tooth.

Also Kori is visiting with us tonight. We went to family swim at the local pool with Kori and had some fun. Kori was very surprised at the number of people in the pool. She mentioned that it looked like a "Where's Waldo" book.

At dinner tonight, Kipp told Kyler to take 6 more bites. Kyler counted on his fingers of one hand to 6, and Kipp told him to count again. So this time Kyler put fingers from both hands up and used his nose to count each one until he got to six. It was so cute! And clever, I might add.

By the way, Ilea's tooth hasn't come out. She doesn't want to wiggle it. This may take a while!

Today was fantastic. Kyler and Ilea went to Vacation Bible School, and then Ramona Houser watched the kids in the afternoon, while Kipp and I went to Wild Waves! It's an amusement park with water slides! It was my birthday present. We met Bill near there, and they had a 2 for 1 pass, parking pass, Ramona made us a picnic lunch with lots of brownies, and watched our kids! It was really fun. We've never gone on the "adult" rides there, only the carousel and kiddie rides. This was a blast. We went on River Ride first, which was chilly but fun, then dark tunnel slides. They were great! Then a super fast one where you shoot off and get some air, another fast twisty slide, and 2 roller coasters. It was almost one by then, so we went to the car to have lunch. After that we went on the log ride, Conga River for a long time (it's an endless loop with no restrictions), and the wave pool. We finished the day by stopping by Barnes and Nobles for a Frappacino. It was a great, relaxing day! What fun for me. Ramona claims to have had fun too. She brought Thomas the Tank Engine tracks and trains and played all afternoon with the kids.

So Ilea and Kyler just ran into the house. Ilea says "Kyler just peed by the street!". Great! Got to get the hose. Talk to you later.

Just a few minutes ago, while we were having dinner (Bratwurst), Ilea was eating her Brat, she told us that her last bite hurt her front tooth. Since her friends are starting to lose thier teeth, we were thinking that she might be doing the same and sure enough her left-front-bottom tooth was very loose and bleeding.

When I saw it, a flood of memories came to my mind of when my teeth came out. I totally remember the feel of moving the tooth back and forth, trying to pull it out. I also vividly recall the feeling of my gums after the tooth came out. For about 10 minutes, I could hardly look at Ilea's mouth because I was very squeemish. It was really funny.

Jenny was trying to tell Ilea that the tooth might not come out for a little while (even tomorrow). I responded, while Jenny was drinking some milk, that when a tooth gets horizontal (and Ilea's can be moved to that position) , it is coming out very soon. At this, Jenny came as close to snarfing (see definition #5) her milk as I have ever seen her in our 12 years of marriage.

So right now, Ilea has a napkin and she is periodically wiggling the tooth. I expect it to come out before she goes to sleep, but we will see.

Here is a picture of Ilea. Note the worry in her eyes. Kyler was very interested as you can tell in the mirror behind Ilea.
