...thank you for my toes

...thank you for my back that helps hold me together

...thank you for my bones and my little heart

...please send me more baz (a candy from Iran which has pistachios in the middle)

1/17/02

Ilea, on a walk: My hair is cold!

Kipp: My friend at work gave us the candy(it was white, and had pistachios in it). His name is Ali.
Ilea: I love him!

Ilea fake laughs all the time, trying to get Kyler to laugh with her. It works a lot of the time.

Kyler mostly says Bababa. Some dadada and mama. He is very wiggly, so much more than Ilea ever was. He turns around on the changing table and sits up in a second. Ilea never moved. I could get clothes out of the closet for her with her lying there. Not Kyler! He's fallen off our bed twice, and down the stairs. He just crawls off the edge. He hasn't walked yet, or even let go by himself. He cruises a little, but mostly crawls.

1/27

they learned about Moses in Sunday school
Ilea: the very big, bad, awful king threw away ALL the babies! And his mother (Miriam) hid the baby (Moses) in the river so he wouldn't get thrown away too! And the basket could float!

2/2/02

Both kids in bath - Ilea: Hold still Kyler so I can water you (pours water over his shoulders), Good boy, Kyler, let me water you some more!

2/7/02

Ilea: Kyler! I'm glad to meet you Kyler! (repeat 10 or 15 times)
