Kyler's work ethic

Kyler hates to wait for the family while we finish a meal. Today we were in a sub sandwich store eating dinner. Kyler finished early, so he asked if he could go open the door for people. He opened it for people coming in and out. There was a man who was bringing in drink supplies for the store. He made 3 or 4 trips, and Kyler opened the door for him each time, which was nice because the man had his arms full. When the man finished his last trip, he offered Kyler (and also Ilea) a cookie with M&M's in it! They loved it.

Mt Rainier Window

Hi All,

I finally finished my newest piece. It is for our kitchen. I designed it in the fall, then life kept getting in the way of finishing it. In the end, it went pretty quickly. It is 15.5 square feet. I'm really happy with it. The only funny thing is that some of the white glass tends to look grey in the light. It has over 300 pieces, and 16 different types of glass in it. I can't wait for you to come and visit and see it in person!

Kyler's Art

Kyler is into everything electronic in our house. He uses my cell phone to call dad and tell about his Nintendo game. He uses the camera to take a picture of the cat. He can use the computer, and all parts of the tv/dvd/vcr. But he's not just a nerd, he's into art also. As he empties the dishwasher he piles the dishes into towers and bridges. Then he grabs the camera and takes a picture. I wanted to share this art with you.

April Fool's Day

We had our first April Fool's prank on the kids. Late last night, about 11pm, we picked up Kyler and Ilea and switched them. So Kyler went into Ilea's still warm bed, and Ilea went into Kyler's. They both slept through this, although Kyler opened his eyes and said "Excuse me!". He doesn't remember, of course. Ilea sat up when Kipp put her down, but he told her to lie down and go to sleep, and she did. In the morning Ilea woke up first, and I met her in the hall. "Something really strange happened", she said. "Hmmm?" "I woke up in Kyler's bed in his room! I don't know how it happened!" I tried asking her what day it was, and finally we went to the calendar. She laughed. Kyler woke up a little bit later, also confused. Kipp met him and finally told him what day it was. It was pretty good!
