Google (Universal) Translator

I just discovered a pretty neat review of Google's future language translation service. It has some pretty neat ideas. Star Trek universal translator, here we come.

Finding stuff with google maps

Here are some very cool applications for Google Maps:

• Cheap Gas for a given area


• Housing for sale/rental


• Sightseeing


• Local search for things like "Starbucks"

I think that another good usage of google maps would be to show garage sales similar to the housing sales/rental (that uses Craigslist for its datasource). Then Google should allow you to select a bunch of locations on their map and give you the shortest route to all of the links you have selected.
