Top of the deck is finished (almost)

The top boards of the deck are "almost" all done. I still need to screw down the edges and tighten all of the screws. There are also some finishing touches that need to be completed and then the top surface of the deck will be complete. We still need to finish the steps on both sides of the deck as well as some benches in front of the trellis.

We are going to start putting some plants into the planter next week as well as put some small retaining walls around the planter. It is hard to see but there are three parts of the planter that have a little different looking dirt. These are about 3' wide x 2' deep holes that have some good dirt moved into them so that the plants have some chance of surviving since our backyard dirt is so bad.
