Ilea beats herself up!

On Oct 13, the kids had the day off from school. So Marian and I took them to the zoo. Walking INTO the zoo, from the parking lot to the front entrance, Ilea was balancing on a curb. She slipped and really got hurt. She scraped up her whole right shin quite badly, left thigh (she was wearing a skirt since it was such a nice day), left elbow, and she must have hit her head. I didn't notice that one right away. At the front, I asked about bandaids. They said she was hurt too badly, and we should go to the first aid station. So Marian took the kids to a play area, and we went there. It was starting to hurt Ilea a little more, and the leg was bleeding more. She said her head hurt, so I pulled back her hair and saw the knot forming. The nurse was alarmed at that, and called an EMT who is on staff. He didn't think anything was seriously hurt, and Ilea really wanted to stay at the zoo. The poor nurse forgot how this happened, and trying to distract Ilea, asked her what her favorite thing she had seen so far was. Ilea wailed, "Nothing! We haven't even gotten in yet!" Poor thing. She got LOTS of bandaids on her legs, arms, and ice for her head. She was fine.
