Week of 11/12:
Ilea, eating a taco, & it comes apart, say, "Oh No! This is terrible!"
Ilea (out of my sight)
"Watch out Kyler, watch out!"
Thump. Kyler starts crying.
Ilea, "I told you to watch out Kyler!"
This intelligent child of ours plays a game of falling off the couch. She sees how far she can lean out, with her feet up on the couch, before she falls on her head....
11/20
This morning Ilea says: I can go to Disneyland with Daddy.
It has a carousel there. It has 1 horse on it. The horse goes NEIGGHHH! That's what it says, the horse.
We tell Ilea we're going to church. She says, "We're going to church? And we're going to have a snack?" (you can see we're teaching her all the right things)
Jenny: Ilea, I have a treat for you. It's pumpkin bread.
Ilea: That's pumpkin bread? Oh I can already taste it for dessert! (she's so excited because it's called a "treat". Turns out she didn't like it after 1 bite)
12/3
Kyler cruises furniture for first time
12/4 Kyler had his 9 month appt. He's doing great. Happy, healthy baby. He crawls fast. He started pulling up last week, and puts everything he can reach into his mouth. He's still 90% for height and 10% for weight.
Ilea has poop problems, but otherwise is great. She gets a piece of candy after lunch and dinner. This is still from her Halloween candy. She loves tootsie rolls, Reeces peanut butter cups, and most chocolate. She doesn't like Skittles (she calls them skibbles). She reads well. She learned a new word recently. She has a book called "My Little book about GOD". She learned to read God about a week ago. The next day I asked her what G-O-D spelled. She said, "Jesus!". She's got it now. She can also spell her name, UP, and NO. She loves to play witih Kyler, and she gets him to chase her around the room. Kyler also loves to chase balls.
12/5
Ilea, to Mom who is going potty: Mom, I have to go potty!
Mom: Ilea, you'll have to wait until I'm finished! Can you hold it?
Ilea: I'll just hold you. I'll just hold you a little minute, and give you a big hug and kiss (she does).
Ilea: Whew! (over, and over again...)
Mom: Ilea, please stop saying that!
Ilea: Oh no! That's not the problem!
Ilea came to me in the morning, with a very sad voice,
Mom, this was in bed with me!
Jenny: what?
Ilea: This thing! (She holds up a piece of rice from last night's dinner!)
12/7
I put Kyler down for nap and Ilea was with us. She runs to turn out the light, saying in a small, high, voice, "Good night, little Kyler. Be good now. Just close your eyes and sleep! That's a good boy."
